1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using Life Coach AI, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

Life Coach AI is an AI-powered life coaching companion developed by Spry (developer: Mustafa Dinc). The service provides:

• Weekly coaching sessions using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques
• Personalized tasks and action plans
• Mood tracking and emotional check-ins
• Guided mindfulness exercises
• Journaling prompts

3. Eligibility

You must be 18 years of age or older to use Life Coach AI. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

4. User Account

When you create an account with Life Coach AI, you are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Providing accurate and up-to-date information

You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

5. User Responsibilities

By using Life Coach AI, you agree to the following:

• Use the app for personal wellbeing purposes only
• Do not use the app as a substitute for professional mental health care
• Seek immediate professional help if you are in crisis
• Do not attempt to manipulate the AI coach into providing medical or diagnostic advice

6. AI Limitations & Disclaimers

Please be aware of the following limitations regarding the AI coach:

• The AI coach is not a licensed therapist, psychologist, or medical professional
• AI responses may contain errors or inaccuracies
• The app does not diagnose mental health conditions
• All results and recommendations are for informational and educational purposes only
• We do not guarantee any specific outcomes from using the app

7. Health Data & Explicit Consent

Life Coach AI collects and processes sensitive personal data related to your health and wellbeing, including but not limited to:

• Mood ratings and emotional check-in notes
• PHQ-9 depression screening responses and scores
• Detailed intake assessment data (diagnosed conditions, medication status, therapy history, sleep quality, support system, substance use, major life events, and self-harm history)
• Journal entries and task-related reflections
• Chat messages with the AI coach that may contain health-related disclosures

This health data is processed in the following ways:

• Locally on your device: Stored in an encrypted SQLite database protected by SQLCipher (256-bit AES encryption)
• Google Gemini API: Your profile information, mood history, assessment results, and chat messages are sent to Google's Gemini API to generate AI coaching responses. This data is transmitted securely via HTTPS/TLS and is processed per Google's Generative AI Terms of Service.
• Firebase Firestore: Your profile data (name, age, gender, focus areas, personality assessment) is stored in Google Cloud Firestore for account persistence across devices

You may withdraw your consent at any time by deleting your account through the app's Profile settings. See our account deletion guide for instructions. Withdrawing consent will result in the deletion of all your data and the termination of your access to the service.

8. Subscription & Payments

Life Coach AI offers the following tiers:

• Free tier: Limited messages per session, ad-supported experience
• Premium tier: Unlimited messages, access to all coach personas, ad-free experience

Payment details:

• Payments are processed through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store via RevenueCat
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
• You can manage or cancel your subscription through your device's app store settings
• Refunds are handled in accordance with the respective app store's refund policies

9. Intellectual Property

All content, design, branding, and AI systems within Life Coach AI are the intellectual property of Spry and are protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.

You retain full ownership of your personal data and any content you create within the app (such as journal entries, mood logs, and chat messages).

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Spry and its developer shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, Life Coach AI. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Emotional distress
• Reliance on AI-generated advice
• Failure to seek professional help when needed
• Loss of data
• Interruption of service

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Life Coach AI at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms of Service or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

You may delete your account at any time through the app's profile settings. Upon deletion, your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update or modify these Terms of Service from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page and notify you through the app where appropriate.

Your continued use of Life Coach AI after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

13. Data Protection & KVKK Compliance

Life Coach AI processes personal data in accordance with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK). As the data controller, Spry (developer: Mustafa Dinc) is responsible for the lawful processing of your personal data.

Under KVKK, you have the right to:

• Learn whether your personal data is being processed
• Request information about the processing of your personal data
• Learn the purpose of processing and whether the data is used in accordance with its purpose
• Know the third parties to whom your personal data is transferred (domestically or abroad)
• Request correction of your personal data if it is incomplete or inaccurate
• Request deletion or destruction of your personal data under the conditions set out in Article 7 of KVKK
• Object to any result that is against your interests arising from the analysis of your data exclusively through automated systems
• Claim compensation for damages arising from unlawful processing of your personal data

Legal basis for processing sensitive data: Your health-related data (as described in Section 7) is processed based on your explicit consent, as required by Article 6(2) of KVKK for special categories of personal data. You may withdraw your consent at any time by deleting your account.

International data transfers: Your data is transferred to servers operated by Google (Firebase, Firestore, and Gemini API) and RevenueCat, which may be located outside of Turkey. These transfers are made with your explicit consent and in accordance with Article 9 of KVKK.

14. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Turkey, including the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK). Any disputes arising from or relating to these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Turkey.
